Dong WANG
Hi, I’m Dong. I’m deeply interested in AI and quantitative research, especially problems where statistical modeling, careful evaluation, and reliable systems need to work together. I currently work in AI Research and Agent Engineering at TikTok, building learning systems for recommendation and long-horizon agent workflows.
Previously, I worked on machine learning and retrieval optimization at AWS FinTech, and conducted physics-informed deep learning research at the Purdue AI Lab under Prof. Yexiang Xue, where I received the lab’s “Best Undergrad” recognition. My independent research spans RL-based order execution, calibrated forecasting, and point-in-time alternative data. You can explore them here.
I earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University in 2.5 years, including a four-month internship and an additional semester required by my student visa. Before Purdue, I studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University (China), ranking 2nd in a cohort of 120.
